Anti-wrinkle

Anti-wrinkle injections improve appearance of moderate lines on the face by relaxing muscles that cause wrinkles. These injections also treat medical conditions, including migraines, hyperhidrosis, overactive bladder and eye problems. To maintain results, treatments should be repeated every three to six months.

How does it work?

Anti-wrinkle blocks nerve signals to muscles. As a result, injected muscles can’t contract (tense up). These effects are always temporary, but can last for several months. The muscle injected depends on the primary area of concern. Several areas can be treated in one session.

How long will my treatment take?

Your cosmetic injector will discuss your treatment goals and perform a facial analysis to determine the appropriate treatment areas for you. If you are deemed to be an appropriate candidate for treatment, the injection may take place on that same day. Some patients report that being injected with anti-wrinkle feels like a pinch. Your specialist may use ice to numb the treatment area. Or, if you are concerned about discomfort, your specialist may apply a topical numbing cream before administering your treatment. But more often than not it is not required

Treatment requires minimal downtime. So you can return to your daily routine immediately after you leave your specialist’s office.

How quickly will I see results? How long does it last?

You may begin to notice the effects within the first 48hours with the anti-wrinkle at full effect 14-30days. Results clinically last 3-4 months. Remember that results vary from person to person.. Eventually, however, your muscles may train themselves to contract less. As a result, treatments can be spaced out over longer periods of time. Your healthcare provider can let you know how often you should get treatment based on your unique needs.
